Chapter One, the jewel of Subiaco, a charming French inspired brasserie positioned on upbeat Hay Street. One of Perth’s little secrets; a traditional, intimate, low-key neighbourhood brasserie where guests feel nurtured and owners know everyone on a first name basis. Owners Jason and Hayley Walker have extensive experience in some of London & Europe’s finest five star restaurants. After moving to Perth their aim was to open their own venue without the pretension that surrounds restaurants.

Fremantle - Perth City

Fremantle is Western Australia’s major commercial port located at the mouth of the Swan River approximately 25 Km south of the CBD. Established in 1829 as a port for the fledgling Swan River Colony Fremantle was the major city in Western Australia for much of its early history. Today Fremantle is still an important working harbour and fishing centre that maintains an obvious commitment to preserving its heritage and culture.

Opening in May 2006 Ninniku Jip certainly offers something out of the ordinary. The menu is a fusion of different cultures with Japanese and Korean the strongest influences. Ninniku means Garlic in Japanese and Jip means House in Korean. As the name suggests, garlic is a prominent ingredient in the cuisine but does not come across as overpowering. The layout and atmosphere of the dining area is best described as trendy with the unique feature of glassed wall play area at the rear for the kids.

Swan RIver

Swan RIver - Perth City

The Swan is a generous, gentle river right at Perth's doorstep. It was named in 1797 by the Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh who was impressed by the many black swans which he observed upon its waters. By day it is invaded by a flotilla of small catamarans skimming bright blobs of colour. At night the city lights become a brilliant galaxy of dancing reflections.
