About Nolan Boutique Vineyard
Nestled below the scenic splendour of Yarra Valley's northern foothills is Nolan Vineyard. Owners John and Myrtle Nolan are passionate about their wines and about sharing their winery boasting their unique wines of rare complexity and balance.
The Yarra Valley is famous for its wine, fresh food and breathtaking scenery and offers a world class experience. This is the place where Victorian winegrowing started, and is Victoria's oldest and most visited wine region, located only one hours drive from Melbourne's CBD and airport.
Nolan Boutique Vineyard is a boutique, family run winery, and offers 2 hectare of select Pinot Noir grape varieties, now complemented by a recent Sauvignon Blanc planting. The 2 hectare, north facing site is on a narrow valley floor, two-thirds on ancient creek bed alluvial soils and rocks, one-third on gently sloping grey loam.
Pinot Noir varieties were chosen as the site is suited to a cool climate grape. The vines are non-irrigated and low yielding. Our aim is to exploit the natural advantages of our terroir by producing premium grade fruit which is hand picked to optimise quality for winemaking. Our fruit is handpicked by family and friends and meticulously blended using delicate and traditional methods.
Since 2004 Nolan Vineyard has produced several vintages of fine Pinot Noir suited to cellaring for three or four years, as well as a refreshingly fruity Pinot Rose. We invite you to visit our cellar door, open from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 10am till 5pm. Taste, buy and share our wines with your family and friends. Whatever your indulgence you're sure to find it at Nolan Winery.
