Ravi Muthiah opened Chimes just 12 months ago and has already built an enviable reputation.Ravi has 20 years experience in food and beverage in 5 star hotels both in Australia and Asia, most recently at the Stamford Plaza.
To compliment this excellent restaurant, Chimes has just obtained a LIQUOR LICENCE, one of the few in Balwyn so you can now select from a broad range of quality wines at moderate prices. When you walk into Chimes you will find an elegant, sophisticated Indian Restaurant which oozes quality.
The menu is extensive and we suggest you try his Andrha Chicken Entrée. This dish is sautéed with dried chilli, onions and garlic and then garnished with roasted cashews. Another entree worth trying is the Sizzling Tandoori Platter, a wonderful selection of chicken, lamb and prawns marinated in ginger, garlic and exotic herbs.
For a main course we suggest Mysore Lamb which is marinated in yoghurt, cooked with onions, chilli and crushed peppers
