About Vue Grand - Grand Dining Room
Built in 1881 in the heart of historic Queenscliff and restored to its original grandeur, the Vue Grand is a stunning boutique hotel containing all of the elements for a perfect escape. The Vue Grand boasts 33 luxurious ensuited rooms, lovingly restored to reflect the hotel's unique charm and character. As a testament to the quality of the accommodation, the Vue Grand has won many Victorian Tourism and AHA awards including "Best Superior Accommodation 4-4.5 star". We have a variety of room types to suit everyone's needs and budget including: Executive Suites, Bay view Suites Spa and Balcony rooms; all with the amenities you would expect from such a magnificent property.
The second floor tower of the Vue Grand has recently been refurbished to create two new Executive Suites. For those looking for the ultimate indulgence these magnificent rooms include: exposed free standing bath, king sized bed, LCD TV and fireplace among a host of other features. The Bay View Suite features fantastic water views. Sit back on the couch with a chardonnay and watch the Sorrento Ferry come and go.
The Grand Dining Room is a breathtaking room with 24 foot ceilings, chandeliers and antique furniture creating the perfect ambience for the intimate fine dining experience. Winner of many "chefs hats" and other dining accolades, the exceptional food has been recognized yet again in 2005 by wining "Fine Dining Restaurant of the year" awarded by the Australian Hotel Association. With over 200 wines on offer, the extensive wine list in the Grand Dining Room ensures that you can select from the affordable quality wine through to rare vintages. The Grand Dining Room truly is an exceptional dining experience.
The recently opened café Lure is an open-air street front café situated on the terrace of the Vue Grand. This casual dining option has an all day menu consisting of lighter meals and snacks. Enjoy our soups, gourmet burgers, stir fry, pastas, risottos, or just pop in for a coffee and cake, or even just a drink. Watch the world go past and soak up the unique ambience that is Café Lure.
