About Raphael's Restaurant
Erected in 1889 as a bakery and shops, the two level rendered brick structure was originally known as "The Jackson's Building". With 22 years of trading history, Raphael's Restaurant has changed ownership for only the fourth time, with the current owners, Susanne Knowles and James Dyer buying the restaurant in May 2006.
Raphael's is renowned for offering a table 'de hote' menu for all functions with groups of from 10 to 80 guests. This means that you select three dishes from each course of our full a la' carte' menu and your guests are able to choose from this selection on the day. All meals are prepared fresh to order during the function.
From private dinner parties of 10 people, through to large gatherings of 200 or more, Raphael's can coordinate all your needs for food, drink, table settings, furniture etc. Our professional chefs will come to you, when it suits, to prepare the finest foods for your guests. Our expert team of professional caterers will stage-manage the entire event, leaving you free to concentrate on the major activities that only you can do on that special day.
