About Royal National Park

Est. in 1879, Royal National Park is the world's second oldest national park (after Yellowstone in the USA). Added to the National Heritage List in July 2006, “the Royal” packs incredible natural diversity into a relatively small area. Located in the far north of the region, (only 32km from Sydney), it offers waterfalls, lagoons, great surf beaches, clifftop heathland walks, and rainforest cycle tracks. The Coast Track is a two day & 26km hike covering diverse environments and spectacular views.
