The Australian National Maritime Museum is spectacularly located on the Darling Harbour waterfront & is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm (6pm in January). Entry to the museum is free, admission charges apply to the vessels. The Sydney Opera House, (designed by esteemed Danish architect Jorn Utzon), is one of the most distinctive and famous 20th century buildings and has evolved into one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres catering to all tastes and budgets – from opera and ballet right through to comedy, physical theatre and cabaret! Guided tours are a great way to see inside this amazing building and the restaurants, cafes and bars offer snacks to five star dining, with magnificent views of the harbour.

Sydney is famous for its beaches, most of which are within 30 minutes drive of the CBD. There are excellent surfing beaches where perfect barreling waves are enjoyed by a locals and tourists alike, through to the calm waters along the harbour foreshores including Redleaf, Nielsen Park, Parsley Bay and Camp Cove. For the more risqué, there are also some less accessible nudist beaches such as Lady Jane and Obelisk. The most famous of Sydney’s beaches is the world renowned Bondi Beach.
