About Kinchega National Park

Kinchega National Park is approximately 44,260 hectares in size, located 111 kilometres south-east of Broken Hill. Kinchega lies amongst the beautiful Menindee Lakes, fed by the Darling River, amid forests of river red gum, coolabah & black box. It is an oasis for wildlife & water birds flock here throughout the year to breed in their extensive rookeries. There is also a chance to see the great red kangaroo, wandering emus, goannas and brilliantly coloured parrots in their native habitat.
