Mangrove Jacks is located in a spectacular spot above The Fishermen's Co-operative. The seafood comes in fantastically fresh directly from the fishermen's trawlers below.
The seafood platters are amongst the best in Newcastle and the classical seafood cuisine has a modern Australian twist. Non seafood eaters are also well catered for. There are a variety of mouth-watering chicken, lamb and beef dishes available uniquely cooked in the freshest seasonal ingredients. Remember to ask about the daily blackboard specials!
The expansive windows open out to boast majestic views of the picturesque harbourside and glittering city views. The fishing fleet and marina provides a spectacular background whilst watch the fishing trawlers come and go. The restaurant is named after the Mangrove Jack fish, a flavoursome fish with a beautiful essence which is served when available.
