About Acquazul Italian Restaurant & Bar
Acquazul is situated on the foreshore at Honeysuckle with views of Newcastle's dynamic working harbour.
Acquazul specialises in modern Italian food, with a strong focus on local fresh produce available from the Hunter Region. Simple, fresh & produce-driven, with many of our dishes delicately cooked in our wood fired oven.
All bread, pizza, pasta & gelati are made fresh daily under the supervision of co-owner & Head Chef Ashley Reed and our seafood is sourced directly from the trawlers of Port Stephens. Ashley has moved to Newcastle after attaining extensive experience from executive chefs in Europe and the UK and from well-known, high calibre establishments like Ecco & Otto in Sydney.
Acquazul boasts an eclectic menu with dishes such as house made Gnocchi con tre Fromaggi, Frutti di mare (a selection of fresh cooked seafood), followed by Ashley's special Tiramisu, and we are fast developing a reputation for the finest Italian food in the Hunter Region.
