Close to Sydney and wrapped around Canberra, it is set in one of Australia's handsomest landscapes; a fascinating mix of heritage towns & villages, stunning country gardens and beautiful waterways. The Southern Highlands are well known for their leisurely pursuits, diverse landscape, shopping & welcoming accommodation. A favorite getaway destination for Sydneysiders, this truly is a region to revel in and refresh the spirit. One of the main highlights of this area are the magnificent gardens that come in all shapes and sizes. But if you’re after something really different, take a trip on the heritage train, (the Cockatoo Run), from the coast to the Highlands and return, or saddle up and discover some of the most beautiful and rugged countryside on horseback.
