There are numerous adventure companies throughout the mountains that can provide you with everything from maps and equipment to fully guided tours.

  

Bushwalking - Katoomba

The only way to truly experience the majesty of the Blue Mountains is on foot. There are countless walks for all levels of fitness. Take a short stroll to an expansive lookout, enjoy a pleasant half-day or full-day walk, or test yourself with more challenging scrambles as you negotiate historic passes or scale mountain peaks over a multi day adventure. Two of the most popular hiking areas are Jamison Valley and Grose Valley. Information, supplies and guides are all available from nearby towns.

  

Scenic Railway & Skyway - Katoomba

The Katoomba Skyway is a 720 metre journey, 270m above ground. This ride boasts a state of the art Electro-Sceni Glass Floor. At the flip of a switch breath taking views are revealed through the cabin floor directly below, while the 360 degree birds eye view takes in the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary & the Jamison Valley. The steepest aerial cable car in Australia takes you on a 545 metre ride into the Jamison valley itself. Once at the bottom experience the 300m Scenic Walkway.

  

The Three Sisters - Katoomba

Arguably the Blue Mountains most recognisable icon, the ‘Three Sisters’ rock formations are located at Echo Point, Katoomba overlooking the world heritage listed Jamison Valley. The valley itself is part of the 2,482 km2 Blue Mountains National Park. According to Aboriginal legend, three sisters were turned to stone by a medicine man who sought to protect them. A number of lookouts provide great position to see these unusual formations.

  

Wentworth Falls - Wentworth Falls

Wentworth Falls is probably the most stunning waterfall in the Blue Mountains. Having two sections falling from the top to a ledge half way down and then again to the very bottom of the valley, if there was no break, these falls would be the highest waterfall in the Blue Mountains. You can see the top half of the falls from Princess Rock a short walk from the car park, however to really appreciate the grandeur of these Falls you should plan for a few hours for bushwalking.
