In the 1930s Sydney artist Jack Earl cherished a romantic dream to sail the world. In 1947 he finally set out with five crew in his ketch Kathleen Gillett. The boat was named after his beloved wife who had to stay behind. After eighteen months in exotic places Kathleen Gillett returned to Sydney.

10 am - 12 pm. Talk by renowned author Dr Keiko Tamura and Japanese war brides Teruko Blair and Sadakko Morris and viewing of a display of personal memorabilia. Then enjoy a talk by Keiko Tamura PhD, author of Michi's Memories, the Story of a Japanese War Bride, in the theatre....
